Koffee Kult Salutes American Veterans

Veterans Day honors military veterans who have bravely served their country in the United States Armed Forces. Every year on November 11, we take a day to salute and honor our American heroes. This year, Koffee Kult honors two veterans: Officer Steven Regentz and John Hagenbruch.

Officer Steven Regentz
Current vocation:
Hollywood Police Department SWAT Team

Recent honors:
Graduated from Leadership Hollywood Class 41, 2017
Officer of the Year from ASIS, 2016
Run through Central Park 5K, 10th Place, 2017

Prior life:
After joining the Marines at 18, Regentz served 10 years in the infantry and two combat tours, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. His last rank was Staff Sergeant.

Koffee Kult status:
Full-fledged member. The only way he likes his dark roast coffee is with a cup. No frills, sweeteners, or cream—just pure, black heavenly coffee.

John Hagenbruch
Current vocation:
Government contractor - the Navy—aircraft mechanic

Recent honors:
Promoted to Chief Petty Officer in 2011, his godson Lucas Mardis placed his anchors on him during the ceremony.

Prior life:
Retired after 21 years in the Navy, Hagenbruch deployed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt to the Persian Gulf for Iraq and Afghanistan. His return voyage, the ship made anchor during the Bosnia War.

Koffee Kult status:
Strong family ties. Hagenbruch favors cream and sugar in either the Dark Roast or Thunderbolt varieties.
