Skinny Salted Dark Roast Caramel Frappe

With summer here, temperatures are rising and we all start getting in the mood for something cold and refreshing. Luckily, Koffee Kult shares wonderful recipes to help you cool off during the summer season. The Skinny Salted Dark Roast Caramel Frappe iced coffee is a great drink to refresh and energize yourself without consuming too many calories and ruining your summer beach body. The problem is, that some coffee houses sell these drinks at very high prices, which can eventually hurt your wallet. In addition, it is very hard to walk into a coffee house and obtain the same flavor and quality every single time. For this reason, our coffee brewing experts share a DIY recipe on how to make a Salted Caramel Frappe from the comfort of your own home, so you can enjoy one every day, without breaking the bank!

Ingredients:

Koffee Kult dark roasted coffee

Almond milk

Salted Caramel coffee creamer

Nonfat whipped cream

Caramel syrup

Before creating your delicious iced coffee, you need to brew the Koffee Kult Dark Roast coffee and pour ½ cup into a glass. Then, add ½ cup of almond milk. We use almond milk because it doesn’t get spoiled as fast as cow milk and has less calories. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of caramel syrup and let it sit for a while. When you are ready to drink your coffee, proceed to the following steps.

  1. Add 1 cup of ice to the blender.
  2. Pour the Koffee Kult Dark Roasted coffee blend from the initial step.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of salted caramel coffee creamer and start the blender until the iced cubes are fully crushed. This will yield approximately three 8oz servings. You might want to put the blender in the ‘frozen drinks mode’ to give your Skinny Salted Dark Roast Caramel Frappe a great texture.
  4. Serve the Skinny Salted Dark Roast Caramel Frappe iced coffee in your favorite Mason Jar mug, top it with nonfat whipped cream, and add a little drizzle of caramel syrup on top.

This drink has approximately 250 calories, which is approximately equal to half of the calories for the non-skinny version iced coffee at the local café. The best part is, it still tastes delicious!

Extra tip: One thing that we have noticed when it comes to iced coffee is that the ice usually melts very fast, especially during summer time. This makes our iced drinks taste a little insipid after a few minutes. Instead of using regular water ice cubes, grab the ice trays and fill them with the first mix of Koffee Kult Dark Roasted coffee and Almond milk. You can do as many dark roasted coffee ice cubes as you like and leave them in the freezer for when you need them. Now, by using these special ice cubes, your ice coffee will not lose its flavor and creamy texture. For a frozen coffee drink that can withstand the heat!
