So a latte is typically espresso with steamed and frothed milk. Using the right amount of quality coffee helps ensure that your espresso will be on point. But we know that not everyone has an espresso maker at home (they have stove top versions that are super affordable though). So this latte is made with strongly brewed coffee so that EVERYONE can enjoy it at home, no worries!

Gingerbread – what automatically comes to mind? Likely building gingerbread houses or decorating gingerbread men from when you were a kid. But do you remember actually eating gingerbread? It will send your taste buds dancing on your tongue. A kick from the ginger, the mellow but warming flavor from the cinnamon and of course that zing from molasses – a flavor that you really can’t recreate! All of these flavors are combined with a can of light coconut milk, stevia, and a few tablespoons of coconut sugar to make the most healthy and delicious gingerbread syrup you have gotten your hands on.

This syrup is the base of the latte. Add the syrup to the bottom of the cup then layer in the hot coffee. Be sure to stir the coffee and the syrup together, to ensure that the flavor is in every sip! Then add your warm coconut milk and don’t forget the coconut whipped cream for that extra special and oh so fancy finish! See I told you, better than having to leave the house in the cold for a latte right?

Well this gingerbread syrup is also pretty healthy. The molasses is rich in vitamins and minerals like copper, iron, Vitamin B6, magnesium, potassium, and pantothenic acid. These vitamin and minerals can help people with things like improving bone health, electrolyte balance, hair care, improve the functioning of the nervous system and wound healing; as well as headaches, anemia and acne/skin ailments. Ginger is a well-known way to help reduce inflammation and is often used to help relieve stomach issues, so this is the perfect way to start the day (especially after a night out with friends).
